I m assuming that this is a problem with the controller and not the garage door opener itself. I have genie intellig 1200 and wanted to make it smart and would love to make it work with my smartthings hub. I have switched to a samsung hub for a clarecontrols hub so i can be in total control of my hub. So wanted to ask.

Clare only works with integrators dealers. Genie has aladdin connect which seems like it s not going to work with smartthings at least not standard and without additional steps. So far no luck incorporating it with samsung smartthings.

It seems that samsung doesn t have many options for garage door openers. Also i see that there s a couple of smart garage door openers that are compatible with smartthings but they re a bit pricier. I have one of the ubiquitous linear iris etc. The gocontrol linear garage door opener lets you remotely open and close almost any sectional garage door.

With both audible and visual warnings that trigger prior to remotely activated door movement the gd00z 4 meets ul 325 2010 safety requirements.
